Moomin figured out very quickly, right then, that he loved Snufkin wholly. It seemed like a fragmented thing before, he thought, but maybe that was only because he only allowed himself to think about it in digestible pieces. Pieces that could, in some way or another, be deemed as solely platonic, but in light of the whole thing… Moomin’s head felt light. He kept his eyes on Snufkin’s growing flower chain. Loop one, pull stem aside, loop another, pull aside, loop, pull… maybe somewhere along all the loops and pulls and threads made of stems, Moomin could find reason to love himself too.
