Summary
It has been six months since Rey Niima won the 49th Hunger Games. Her survival only made possible by the help of her mentor, and former victor, Ben Solo. But in keeping her alive, the two revealed their force bond to the entire country. The force, which has been declared illegal, and rumoured to be so powerful that it can wipe out the user and everyone around them. The president is angry, the people are afraid, and if Rey can't convince the country that the power she holds has disappeared, she risks the lives of herself and everyone close to her.
With the Victory Tour just days away, Rey is still haunted by Ben's sudden disappearance. How will she explain his absence to the crowds that had been rooting for their love story? Will she be able to overcome her own heartbreak to put on the performance that President Snoke needs of her?

They barely have time to disembark the ship on Ajan Kloss before cuffs are slapped on Ben’s wrists. Two burly looking men Rey doesn’t recognize hold him up as they secure the bindings; his leg is broken and he has hardly enough strength to keep his eyes open, let alone stand.
“He needs to be put into bacta,” Rey barks at them, lifting Ben’s chin as his head lolls forward.
“He’ll go wherever Commander D’Acy orders him to go,” the man on his left replies, staring at Ben’s near-lifeless form with simmering contempt. “Trial, then execution, I’d wager.”

Rey doesn’t mean to stop, but she does, transfixed by a woman and her lover in a doorway. The woman’s skirt is tied up around her waist, and the top half of her body is bare aside from the string of beads around her neck, long enough to rhythmically brush her dark nipples as the man thrusts his hips against her behind. Rey can’t see from this angle, but she knows enough to know what they’re doing, what part of his body is inside hers.
She jumps when Kylo—Ben—grasps her elbow. “Keep moving.” His voice is tight, clipped.
