Hermione Granger doesn't know it. But she belongs to him.

It is NOT a HEA in case you missed the tags.
Red is my favourite colour on a fictional man, but even I know that red is also the colour of blood.

Summary
Draco’s mission was simple: travel two thousand years into the past and kill Hermione Granger.
He did not, however, anticipate complications. Namely, a side quest involving Granger’s friends, who have also time-travelled courtesy of substandard Time-Turners.
Becoming entangled in ancient politics while wearing a toga and facing a severe shortage of hair gel was not on his bingo card.
Neither was becoming a Roman soldier.
Nor befriending a perpetually ill-tempered ginger cat.
And certainly not falling for the very woman he was sent to kill.

Summary
Draco Malfoy is Afflicted.
Love—the blessed (and cursed) thing—will do that to you. It eats away at you slowly, until you’re nothing more than an animal, really. Primal instincts only. A dog one must train to sit. To stay. To get down, so to speak. And the problem is, no one has ever loved anyone the way Draco loves Hermione Granger. If ever a man has Yearned, it is him. Draco Yearncius Malfoy, who bears the aforementioned Affliction willingly, and without complaint (mostly).
That is, until he wakes up one day and no one in the entire world—including his wife—remembers that he’s married to her.
In this particular Scenario, he complains a lot.
