Summary
Tsukasa Tenma, the second-in-command of the Royal Knights, is sent on a mission one day to arrest an unknown man causing havoc on the coast.
That really should have been the end of it, but somehow, said man (Kamishiro Rui, or so he claims), joins him on a journey to the frontlines of the war, where the battle between the humans and the demons has almost reached its breaking point.
To make things worse? The commander of the Royal Knights has gone MIA, and Rui is acting way too friendly towards someone who just arrested him.

“...Ah! Yes, of course!” Rui answers, then letting go of Emu and running forward, “Let’s go, my dear!” He unceremoniously grabs Tsukasa by the wrists and pulls him away, and the blonde’s screams resonate through the room as Emu and Nene follow after them.
Emu grabs Nene’s wrist, and the latter yelps softly as Emu drags her forward too.
She has to savour every moment she has here, each year.

Summary
Just to be clear, Tsukasa has kissed before. The issue is, though, kissing his middle school girlfriend one time all those years ago feels absolutely nothing like kissing Kamishiro Rui does right now.
Kissing Rui is… a form of ecstasy, to put it one way. The two months they’ve spent together isn’t a long time to have been dating someone for, but the things Tsukasa’s felt towards the boy he loves during that time pale in comparison to anything he ever felt in that middle school music room. Or, well, anything he ever felt in general towards romance, if he’s being honest.
