Summary
As a daughter of Apollo and a granddaughter of Mercury who has lived through wars with Titans, Giants, and undead Romans, Cassie is well aware that "normal" must be judged on a curve. Still, the invasion of a Norse god backed by an alien army is taking it a little far, especially since all she really wants from life is to finish medical school. Now the fates, whom she has met personally seem to be determined that she end up involved with the Avengers and it seems like life won't be getting any less weird. The gods must be crazy.

Summary
So you know the story. A super-soldier with a heart of gold meets a demigod doctor with too much power and too big a fate. The gods are insane and the world is a little screws loose while our heroes do their best to manage the crazy and the carnage. You've read it in Cassie's perspective, but what was Steve thinking? This work will, hopefully, answer that question.
What are the gods playing?
They can only be Patriot Games.

Summary
When Merlin picked a noble family to claim Lancelot was a part of to gain entry in to the knightly trials, he was missing several key pieces of information. The first, was that of Lord Eldred of Northumbria's four existing sons, the third was already a knight of Camelot. The second, was that Sir Terrence might be very interested in figuring out why a perfect stranger was claiming to be his little brother. The third, was that Terry, like all Northumbrians, never went half way on anything and the route to activate his brotherly instincts is a very direct trip. Fourth, the entire house of Lord Eldred is very willing to, for lack of a better term, fuck around and find out. In short, if Lancelot and Merlin want to claim that Lancelot is part of Terry's family that can be arranged, but goddamnit, he gets the ENTIRE family. No take backs. Watch how these decisions change the entire fate of Albion, one piece of family shenanigans at a time.

Summary
Quentin Lance knows that everyone has demons. He has some himself. However, Oliver Queen has more than most. And sometimes those demons were screaming. No-one could draw out those screams like Prometheus. Felicity Smoak might be the only way to make the voices quiet again. Warning for some dark subject matter and a possible trigger at the end so read carefully and use your own judgement.

Summary
Quentin Lance knows for a fact the honesty is not necessarily Oliver Queen's primary forte. However, he also knows that the God's honest truth from people who happen to usually lie has a specially impact. Oliver has always grown up with very little honesty in his life and that shows. Still though, Lance always sees that Oliver is honest when it comes down to the important things like Thea, and sometimes Laurel. Hopefully he'll get to watch Oliver be honest enough with Felicity Smoak and with himself to fix things before it's too late.

Summary
Quentin Lance has always known that the word please has a particular and highly refined power in American society. Strangely, he has noticed that Oliver Queen seems to have particular power behind the words when he says them. Maybe it's the power of rarity. Or maybe the simple fact that Oliver Queen never really asks for much means that sometimes the universe decides it owes him one.

Summary
Quentin Lance grew up with the good fortune of having a relatively nice home and home life. Oliver Queen wasn't necessarily always so lucky. It was clear to Lance that the kid just hadn't quite grasped that home was more often then not, a person, or a group of people that made you feel safe, loved. Now though with the arrival of Felicity Smoak, Lance thinks Oliver might have figured it out.

When Other People Are Managing to Get What They Want by aprill99

Summary
One thing about Oliver Queen has always worked in his benefit. Essentially, he is really incredibly good at getting what he wants, and getting other people to give it to him. Quentin Lance has always been somewhat irked by this. For someone who lies so very often Oliver Queen has always managed to fake innocence to the point of absolute perfection. In Lance's opinion something about that was just borderline creepy. It made the kid a hell of a politician though.

Summary
Oliver Queen is now, and has always been a fighter. Not many people knew that for a verifiable fact. Quentin Lance was one of the very few who did. He had known ever since the first time he had seen Oliver kicking a fourth grader in the shins on the playground for making Laurel cry. Growing up he fought differently, and when he fought with Felicity Smoak on his side their was absolutely no way in hell to stop him.

Summary
Quentin Lance is perfectly aware of the fact that Oliver Queen generally completely fails at most levels of functional human communication. However, after long experience he is also very and somewhat reluctantly aware that Oliver is incredible with little children. For some reason Oliver, as borderline emotionally handicapped person seems to be truly wonderful with little kids. A/N: This post is slightly more AU than my others so you've been warned. See the notes at the end for more details.

Summary
Oliver Queen can be possessive, though surprisingly enough not of material things. Quentin Lance had long ago noticed that if Oliver was possessive of anything, it was the people he loved and assumed responsibility for. When Oliver dedicated himself to a person, other people didn't come close. It was hard to blame him though. If there is one thing Oliver Queen has always been a little short on, it is people he truly loves.

Summary
Quentin Lance realized a very long time ago that Oliver talked more with his hands than he did with his voice. Ever since he had been a very small child if you wanted to know what Oliver really thought or felt while he was talking to you to know what he really meant you had to watch his hands. This remained true long in to Oliver's adulthood even after his time on the island. Oliver Queen talks with his hands.

Summary
Oliver Queen has never been the kind of person to just accept abstract concepts. He has to be able to prove undeniably that things are real, and to do that Lance has realized that he uses touch. Oliver touches things to prove that they're there, especially when they seem too good to be true. Lance and the rest of Team Arrow have all come to realize that this means Oliver communicates through touch with Felicity. A lot. All the touching....

Summary
Quentin Lance would just like to have it put on record that watching people choke is not his idea of a good time. That's what makes it really so worrying that it seems to happen more and more around Team Arrow. That said, the danger of choking tends to give him a really good view of the team dynamics. Still, it might be time for him to start carrying an oxygen tank around with him.

Summary
People say that in wine there is truth. Well from what Quentin Lance had seen from Oliver Queen it seemed like the truth might lie in how little he actually does drink. Despite having all means and excuses, when Oliver returns home he barely drinks at all. A few conversations in proximity to alcoholic beverages and a certain blonde technical genius might just explain why.

Summary
For all of his seemingly reckless behavior, Oliver Queen has always been a planner. He thinks and strategizes. In Quentin Lance's opinion it's Queen's way of keeping the world controlled, manageable. It also makes him really freaking brilliant at a selection of board games. Moreover though, Lance knows that Oliver Queen makes plans to keep the people that he loves safe. So when uncontrollable yet mundane things happen, like Felicity being hit by a mother going too fast in a van on a rainy day to get her sick child to the doctor, well those situations are about enough to make him snap.

Summary
With the mask that Oliver Queen puts on it's sometimes easy to forget that he's carrying around at least five, and likely now more like eight, years worth of psychological trauma. In addition to that he lives with at least two identities and lies like it's pathological. Springer would have a field day with this.

Summary
Sometimes it's very easy for Lance to forget that Oliver Queen really is a human being, and one of the very few things universal to being human is wanting things. It's surprising sometimes to remember that there are things that Oliver Queen wants. The kid wants, he hopes, in times of dread he prays, and when the entire world and living in it is nothing short of impossible, he dreams.

Summary
Quentin Lance had known Oliver Queen as a high school screw off who had failed Spanish. That boy would never have wanted, or even been able to, learn languages like French, Russian, or Mandarin. And yet, when he goes to drop off information with Oliver and Felicity the Queen kid seems to be able to handle all of them with ease.

Summary
The entire Queen family has always had a way of buying belief when they lie, it's not that they're actually particularly good at it with the exception of Moira. Before the Island Oliver was no different. Now he's back and lies like he's breathing. It even works now. Just not on Felicity Smoak.
