At the suddenly blurted words, Seonghwa froze. Mind racing, heart thumping, veins buzzing - he forgot how to breathe.
His lungs burned for oxygen, but the only thing he could take in was just how much that statement was true for the Angel also. It was in the longing gaze Hongjoong was shooting the demon. The way his perfect nose casted a dark shadow across his pretty cheeks, contrasted by the orange hue his hair had sucked into the colourless strands due to the dying sun.
The way his plush, pink lips sat slightly parted, revealing the tips of his teeth - the very ones that Seonghwa knew could be bared into either the most beautiful of smiles or the most vicious of snarls.

Wooyoung was a healer.
No one would have guessed this fact based off his chosen career path, but he always liked being unpredictable. However, said unpredictability was currently the reason he was sitting behind the iron bars of a jail cell and not out in the soft, morning beams of the sun.
Though, his life had a nasty habit of turning upside down at the most unexpected of times. You would've thought he'd be used to it by now, but he wasn't. He really, really wasn't, and this time was no different.
Who would've thought one's life could change so dramatically just because they decided to surrender to the heroes and was sentenced to the rest of their life in prison?
Well, Wooyoung certainly didn't.

Wooyoung didn’t mean to end up in this situation, He really really didn’t, all he wanted to do was clear his head and who could blame him! San was getting on his nerves and Yeosang was away on his heavenly duties or whatever, so he had no one to vent his frustrations to, of course he left! It wasn’t supposed to be dangerous, just a quick (not so) trip to a forest he had been dying to visit for years.
The travel there was barely a day and it would’ve been less if Wooyoung wasn’t dragging his feet, and how could he know there were rather aggressive, territorial animals living there!? He was supposed to have a way with the beasts being a green witch and all but he honestly didn’t and that wasn’t his fault either! He just had… other specialities- like cooking!
He just needed to find a cave or a fairy den… just somewhere to spend the night so he wouldn’t get eaten alive by the animals lurking in the shadows.
Fuck he wished San was here.

At the ripe age of 6 Seonghwa didn’t think much of that, but as he got older and the blue haired boy was present less and less, you could say his suspicions started to grow.

It was the time Seonghwa had hurt the most, even the beatings that came after couldn't compare. It was the time when a certain blue haired boy had never returned, the one person Seonghwa had poured his soul into; his first real friend. No one had ever compared to him, and he had a feeling no one ever would. His current friends were amazing, the best even and Seonghwa wouldn't dare wish for more than them... but somehow it was different. The friendship he shared with them was strong and pure but it wasn't the same as the one he had shared with that blue haired boy all those years ago.

As the sun begins to set, the sky explodes into a watercolor painting with the contrast turned all the way up. Vermilion bleeds into magenta and at least three different shades of orange. The clouds burst, shadowed against the colors with sharp edges. San has never seen anything like it.
“I can only think of one reason,” he says quietly, throat sore and voice raw. His lips are dry as he blows out a heavy breath. “What if it’s a second chance?”
