Kaeya reached out and picked up a small shell that was half buried in the sand next to Diluc. He studied the shell for a moment, slowly rubbing his thumb over the creases before speaking again. "I simply thought collecting seashells might be fun. It was fun last time -- although, we were much younger then."
Diluc's eyes widened upon hearing the last sentence. He blinked as he watched Kaeya's thumb drag against the shell. "I didn't know you still remembered anything from back then...huh." He replied.
Kaeya looked back at Diluc. He still wore a smile on his face, but it now seemed more sentimental than before. As if something Diluc had said moved him. He shifted a bit on the sand, placing the shell back onto the ground.
"How could I possibly forget? Those were some of the best years of my life." Kaeya said truthfully. "I hold every memory I spent with you dearly. They all mean so much to me." He let out a small sigh, his expression becoming more pained.

Ningguang breathes a cloud of smoke through her nostrils like a dragon, and says airily, "Are we? Friends, I mean?" She puts that bored look on her face again, and with a flourish of her pipe she sets her attention back on reading through some paperwork. It's all a front - they both know that this sort of thing might work on Ningguang's usual clientele, but it doesn't do a single thing to scare Beidou off. "I don't believe I'd have the bad sense to befriend a pirate who stirs up trouble in my territory and never sticks around long enough to clean after herself. Quite frankly, I'd have a better time befriending a stray dog off the street."
She shoots a pointed glare at Beidou over the top of her papers, before setting them down to mark off and stamp - this time with a deep black ink, meaning corrections ought to be made. Very intimidating.
Beidou locks eyes with her and smirks. "Woof," she says - a challenge.

“You’re just a pervert.” Diluc sputtered back, rubbing at his red cheeks. How could Kaeya be so blunt? Didn’t the government listen in on phone calls or something? He was pretty sure at least his Father’s security had their phones tapped.
“Yeah,” Kaeya agreed, “and you’re my cute boyfriend that puts up with it. How are you doing by yourself? Do you touch yourself thinking about me?”
“W-what?” Diluc choked.
