Satoru looks down to where their shoulders touched, the skin fainly tingling there. Prickling. Uneasy energy bubbles in his bones. He feels like a livewire, like a string about to snap, like rope pulled too tight.

For the first time since her quirk developed, Himiko wasn’t anemic. She could think without her mind being clouded by blood cravings. It was as wonderful as it was terrifying.
In addition to the looming identity crisis, she couldn’t stop thinking about the deaths of her parents and the revelation that they’d hidden part of her quirk from her.
