Zooble relaxes into their seat more once they're ordered. "So, how's life been?""… It's been… life. You?"
Zooble shrugs. "Life… Things have been weird… Seeing old friends, getting what stuff I had left. It doesn't feel real."
Jax nods. "Ah, yeah, I've been doing… A lot of the same… old friends and such…" He pulls out his phone to scroll through videos again.
"Looking for the others again?" they ask.
"Yeah… You'd think Pomni would change her name on YouTube… I mean… Surely she'd know I'd look for her on it… But nope. No Pomni channels," he sighs and puts it away again.

"No, Martin, no, I can't." He shrugs him off. "I don't want to hurt you, and I know that you'll just—" he sighs, "I'm bad. And I did bad things and I cant be upset about that because I am a monster. I know I am. And it sucks! I didn't ask for this. I didn't want it… But it is still my fault. It is still who I am…"

with only a few weeks left to cure himself of the Kharaa Bacterium Ryley finds his last hope when the Hail Mary crashes onto 4546B and brings Ryland Grace along with it.

Grace takes a breath and glances back at Ryley before slipping in. once Grace is clear of the cyclops, he presses the button on his air bladder. Ryley was right; it shoots him up so fast it's just two seconds of whirlwind bubbles, then he's bouncing on the surface.He gasps and paddles, glancing down to see Ryley swimming up behind him with fins and a scuba mask now on. he wonders if he can get a suit like that to go along with the PDA; his clothes aren't exactly built for swimming.
Ryley surfaces and grabs his hands, tugging him forward to shore as Grace looks around, taking in his very non-Earth surroundings. The plant life is completely foreign to him; even the sounds of the life here are wrong. There's no bird song; instead, there are squeaks and chitters.
His eyes widen. "Where… Where are we?" He asks, turning to Ryley as they get up on shore, their mask and flippers fading with the same blue shimmer as the air bladder formed.
"This," Ryley gestures around, "is 4546B, your new home."

"Hey," Vincent smiles and heads over."Well, don't you look keen," alastor coos as he looks Vincent over. "It suits you well."
"Thanks," he smiles, running his fingers over the lapel. "You look fantastic as always," he compliments back. "But I think I have just the thing to complete the look." He holds out his little gift box.
"Oh?" Alastor tilts his head before taking the box to open it up.
It's a little radio-style lapel pin. "I know it's a bit cheesy," he chuckles, "but it reminded me of you."
Alastor looks at it for a bit. "It's lovely." He finally says, carefully removing it from the box.
He smiles. "I'm glad you think so."
Alastor hands over the gift bag. "Mine is a bit cheesy as well," he notes, putting on the lapel pin as soon as his hands are free.
Inside the bag is a small, wooden cathedral radio that is a dark, almost black blue. The "window" part of the radio carved to look like circling sharks.
"Oh," a little spark jumps from one of his antennas to the other as he gently lifts it out and looks it over.

"You know we don't mind," Rocky says. "It will be long," he warns.
"I don't mind; the suit's actually comfy." This is a lie. The xenonite suit I wear when I have to leave the dome is not nice to wear, like a mix between an EVA suit and plate armor. But hey, it lets me go outside without being crushed to death, so it's fine.
"Alright, it will start at λλλℓℓ," Rocky informs me, right as Adrian returns from their room. "Grace is coming," he shares with them.
Adrian tilts their carapace a bit. "We will leave at V+λℓℓ then, so Grace has time to pick up rocks."

The question puts me on my back foot. Literally. I jog up to the door after my morning run to find Rocky waiting for me on my side of the house, suited up and ticked off. I rock back on my heel.
“Huh?”
“What you mean ‘huh’, is simple question! Why no mention plants on Hail Mary when almost die of no vitamins?!”
“No bud, I heard you the first time,” I scoff, shaking my head ruefully. He gets under my feet, tapping at my thighs with his claws to annoy me while I toe off my running shoes.
“Hey, quit— quit it! You’ve gotta be confused, the only plant matter on the Hail Mary was the food in my meals, and that’s years gone.”

I lived with this hunger long before the Hail Mary. This is nothing new. I’m fine.
Right up until Rocky asks another question.
“When last time you touch other human person skin, question?”
Oh. Oh no. “When I… a few days after I first woke up here.”
Rocky starts to relax for a split second, but then tightens when something occurs to him.
“Grace crewmates dead when you wake up. You said this, statement. You not even know your own name, remember nothing, see dead bodies, confirm?”
I nod, because if I open my mouth I will gag.
“When last time Grace touch ALIVE human person, question.”
I swallow thickly. I don’t answer aloud because I know Rocky can hear the hitch in my breath. My stomach churns with fresh bile. He senses my vital signs tick over into stress patterns and goes very, very still again.
“Grace. When last time, question.”
I clench my jaw so hard my temples ache, and beg him with my eyes to just stop.
“Grace. Please say not when… when Evil Stratt humans put you to sleep.”
I can taste grass.
