Summary
“'I mean, of course I’ll stop if you don’t want me to keep buying things for her. But if it’s only because of the money, I promise I have the means, and I like seeing her happy, a-and I like seeing you happy, so –'
'You don’t have to stop,' Jaemin interrupts, butterflies swarming in his stomach as his pleased scent blends with Jeno’s in the air around them. 'I – I like seeing how happy it makes you to give her things, too.'
Jeno’s responding smile is the most radiant Jaemin has ever seen it, and in that moment, he knows that even though it isn’t quite a courtship yet, not officially, it’s something, and they can both feel it.
They both want this, and that’s everything.”
Single mother Jaemin meets his neighbor Jeno three days after moving into his new apartment with his daughter. It takes less than a week for them to be entirely smitten with each other. It takes a little longer – though not by much – for them to get around to courting each other for real.

Summary
A few weeks after a one night stand, Jaemin starts craving a type of cookie that's been discontinued. When he visits the local Trader Joe's anyway just to be sure, he discovers three things:
1. The cookies are definitely not available.
2. He's inexplicably overemotional about something that really shouldn't be such a big deal.
3. Most important of all, the employee he speaks to, Jeno, seems very familiar... -

Summary
“He’s quiet for a second. Then, all at once, the confession spills out of him. 'Jeno, I’m not renewing my contract.'
For a long moment, everything is still. 'Oh,' Jeno finally says, because that’s all he can say. He isn’t oblivious to the myriad of reasons why artists choose, year after year, not to renew their contracts with SM. He’s aware that Mark, overworked as he’s always been, has even more reasons to want to get out. In theory, him making this choice is nothing out of the ordinary, and it’s not like group activities can’t continue to happen even after a member leaves the company, so it doesn’t necessarily have to be a big deal, either.
But Mark is watching him carefully, so carefully, and a pit forms in Jeno’s stomach. 'You’re not just leaving SM,' he says, realization trickling over him like ice water. 'You want to leave NCT.'”
Or: Jeno learns about Mark's plans for the future and is inspired to reflect on what he wants from his own.
