Summary
Duncan the Tall finds his soulmark on a dead man prince in Ashford, and that should be the end of it.
A young Baelor Breakspear finds his soulmark on a mysterious and wounded knight during a war march.
At a squint, Duncan considers, an ending is only another beginning. Sometimes, when the sun sets just right, the gods are kind enough to give a fool another chance to do things right.

Summary
As teenagers, Baelor and Maekar have stopped speaking except when duty requires it. From their mother’s perspective, it becomes gradually apparent that the distance between them is no ordinary spat, but a far deeper wound inflicted and endured by mutual, unstated yearning.

Summary
"You're lost, prince."
"Am I?" Daeron peered around as if only now noticing where he'd ended up. "Doesn't seem so. I was looking for a tent, and here's a tent." He gestured broadly, nearly toppling himself in the process.
"This isn't your tent."
"No, mine's much finer." Daeron took another wobbling step closer. "Silks and satin and all manner of royal rubbish. Dreadfully boring."Daeron stumbles into Raymun's tent after Baelor's funeral, and Raymun takes care of him despite every reason not to.

Summary
“And so, to resolve a crisis of entirely your own making, you’ve volunteered me for what?"
“The Bachelor, uncle, do keep up.”
“Wherein I will be what, exactly?”
Aerion rolled his eyes. “Oh, don’t be thick, uncle, it doesn’t suit. The titular role, of course.”
Or, Baelor becomes the Bachelor to resolve yet another one of Aerion’s fuck ups, and braces himself for the most harrowing three months of his life. At least the cameraman makes for pleasant company.
