Summary
Gerard Way finds himself institutionalized after events he cannot remember. As he gets adjusted to this routine in a dull environment, he begins having fragments of memories of something--of someone. A slender someone with brown hair and glasses, who held his hand and laughed with him during the darkest times of his life.
One day, a new admit enters the asylum: an exact replica of the boy Gerard has been drawing in his sketchbook. The mysterious admit, named Mikey, has a very familiar voice. He knows Gerard's deepest secrets, knows what he is thinking, and how to finish his sentences. But is Mikey merely a figment of Gerard’s imagination, a memory, or a ghost?
As the past becomes clearer, Gerard gets closer to uncovering the tragic reason as to why he has been locked away.

“There’s my Mikey, it’s been a long time, hasn’t it.” she exclaimed, but the question mark was missing from her voice. “This is the piazza I mentioned to you. Isn’t it beautiful? The roses, oh, the roses! Simply beautiful, aren’t they?” she droned on, her usual chatter.
After a while, Mikey had learned to tune out her incessant babbling, finding her rather annoying.
“Yes, beautiful,” the mysterious man replied. Mikey looked up, his black hair disheveled and long. He bore a striking resemblance to himself, and he was looking directly at Mikey.

(This is entirely based off an incomplete orphaned work called “who’s the bitch now?” - it’s been abandoned for a while so I re-wrote it and plan to finish it myself. Warning, it’s pretty graphic)
