Summary
The idea of an independent radio station is born in the wake of the third annual celebration of the liberation of Freetown. Like most births it can trace its origin back to a union; in this case the unfortunate coming together of Cobb Vanth, the town marshal, and Taanti's homebrewed desert plum and cacti hooch in the saloon that is owned and run by the Weequay.

In short: Din floats through space and listens to Radio Freetown, and in a strange twist of fate Cobb gets to know him as 'Din' first and 'Mando' later. -

"No friends then?" Din asks, gauging his options. He can be fast, but the man's finger is on the trigger and his gun hand has the steadiness of a professional. Takes one to know one.
If the stranger harbours any apprehensions about sharing a dingy bathroom with a corpse and a murderer, there isn't so much as a flicker of it showing in his shark grin. He watches Din watch him and that smile ticks just a tad wider and Din thinks it might actually be genuine amusement rather than a show of cocksure bravado.

Summary
When he wakes up in a clean bed in what he later will learn is a sanatorium, he finds a pair of flintlocks and a rose quartz rosary lying on the night stand next to him, meaning they're probably his.
Not that he has the slightest idea where he is, or how he got here in first place.
As he tries to gather himself, a group of people wearing unfamiliar faces enters the room. They crowd around his bed and ask questions, but when he has no answers it is them who tell him that he was lost to them for nigh half a year, dead and buried, mourned, and now brought back to life by a miracle of the Light.
They tell him this place is called the Hamlet, and that his own name is Dismas.

Summary

And somewhere, buried beneath all the titles, there is a man. A self-proclaimed king, a former prisoner who will never be free of his past, a true Nord who belongs to Skyrim even if she will never belong to him.
He might be a good, noble man. He might not.Many of these stories go hand in hand with the Blacktyde Chronicles, but since they are centered around Ulfric Stormcloak, I have decided to take them out of the BC and instead begin a new series. Much can be read on its own, though some things might be confusing without any knowledge of the main story.

Summary
Nicky feels like he’s the only true human being in the room; he’s the only one shifting with discomfort and wrinkling his nose and feeling so sick at watching what’s going on. “Hey,” he says to the scientists, “Can’t you knock him out while you do that?”
“Why should we? We don’t have the budget for sedatives or pain killers.” One of the scientists says blandly, and that makes Nicky feel like he’s been shoved over an abyss. There should be empathy, or professional courtesy, or common decency, but there’s just a blank look of slight annoyance.
Instead of killing the doctor like he really wants to, Nicky pulls his silenced handgun from a pocket and shoots the victim in the head. “They’re immortal and I don’t get off on watching people writhe in pain. Even if drugs aren’t in the budget you can bet bullets are."
