Well maybe not all of it, they still have to defeat god and make Earth safe, but one thing he wants, surely he can change this one thing for himself. And maybe this time his life won’t end by a crusted nail.

Summary
Castiel died, and Dean stopped living.
Dean swears to the empty that he will be quiet as long as he can be with Cas. The Empty, enjoying how much pain Dean is in, deny's his request and uses his greif to taunt him. Desperate and delusional, Dean swears to keep his promise. Even after he is thrown back in time by Jack for everyone's safety. Even after there are mysterious portals being torn open throughout the world because of his heartache.
Dean won't give up. Not for anything. He will do anything to be together with Cas. Even if that means ripping out his own vocal chords to do it.
