Gabby stops staring - can't go cutting her thumb off. "'Cause the skin'll get stuck between your teeth, dummy."
Asa's halfway done with her apple by the time Gabby's cut up hers all fancy-like, the way she saw someone she can't remember - but can remember was important - do it once. They even used a tiny little fork for it, to keep their hands from getting sticky. Which is silly - juices are fine, you can lick 'em off. Not like blood.--
Gabby and Asa, and the contrast between nights they've shared together over these last few years. And apples, and video games, and blood. Covers events pre-canon in the manga and anime.

“All better.” The girl whispered shyly, giggling when Gabriel nudged her again. She pet their front teeth, as if they were a fluffy little shibu and not a thousand eyed monster that had just eaten someone right in front of her.
Looking back, that was probably the moment Gabby fell in love. She was used to people thinking she was a monster. Or a weapon. A low life street rat with a ledger and a monster as a side kick. But this little girl had treated Gabriel with the respect they had been longing for. They weren’t even her daemons, and she has only ever seen them spilling blood. But she didn’t seem to care.
Gabi reflects on the first time she ever killed for Asa. Set after the flashback in episode 7 when Asa is describing how she got Break.

Summary
This is a reupload of my first Tyzula fic. I was always fascinated by the character Azula and believed that, despite all her flaws and toxic traits/behavior, that she could and would heal if given the opportunity. She would have to hold herself accountable and work hard to set things right, but I believed that wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility. I also observed her friendship with Ty Lee and thought that the two would work great as a couple post-healing and wanted to write them together. This story was my attempt to write Azula and Ty Lee in greater dimension, explore both of their stories, and write the two of them reconciling and healing from their past wounds and eventually building a life together. My goal was to depict Azula as being fully aware of where she went wrong and making concrete efforts to change, and Ty Lee having full agency and say in how their relationship goes.
