    Summary

Goro Akechi and Akira Kurusu had entered into this industry together and stolen hearts across the country as Joker and Crow in the now beloved TV series, The Phantom Thieves. Five years after the series finale, however, they’ve gone their separate ways, with Akira continuing on his acting path and Goro finding himself drawn to directing.

Goro knew, deep down, that their paths would cross once again. After all, he’s already got two critically acclaimed films under his belt, and Akira has proven that he’s got a penchant for picking up awards nominations and is even more skilled at not winning any of them (yet). It was only a matter of time before two of Japan’s rising stars would collide once more.

But Goro is still very unprepared when Akira waltzes into an audition for his newest film and blows everyone before him out of the water.

His performance is… entrancing. It makes Goro forget about everything except the fact that Akira Kurusu is an amazing actor. Oh, and that he’s also Goro’s ex.

What could possibly go wrong, working with the boy he used to sneak into his trailer almost every night?

    Summary

There was a trail of Qifrey’s blood from the entrance to the door the doctor had disappeared through.

Luckily, he didn’t have long to stand there, numb. The girls appeared moments later.

Olly swallowed, hating that he needed to ask questions from them right now, but also desperately needing to know how yet another test had gone so sideways. He cleared his throat, getting the attention of all four apprentices, and eloquently managed to ask, “…what happened?”

    -

Qifrey and Olruggio figure out what life looks like after the silverwood seed is gone. Fair warning, it starts with a good amount of angst but moves into lots of comfort. Full of yearning all the way through.

You definitely don't have to read the earlier bits in the series - it's all just a series of Olruggio and Qifrey yearning.

Olruggio didn’t think Qifrey liked physical touch at all, but now that the curse is gone, the white-haired man immediately decides that Olruggio’s personal space is his personal property and he will be burrowing into Olruggio's ribcage, thank you very much.

    Summary

Qifrey had left in the middle of the night, secretly, as if Olruggio wouldn’t notice.
He returned hours later, barely able to stand, blood everywhere.

The sad thing was that it wasn’t the first time. Qifrey's skin was covered in scars, places where flesh had been torn apart and carefully stitched back together by Olruggio, every time, it had been him who took care of it.
Olruggio had always treated every injury without complaint, years and years intertwined so completely that he no longer knew where his own life ended and Qifrey’s began.

“Olly” Qifrey said quietly “look at me. You can do this”
“You don’t get to say things like that right now, not when you’re the one bleeding to death in front of me”

    That night, though, everything changed.

    Summary

Olruggio wrapped his arms around Qifrey’s waist and pulled him close. He rested his chin on Qifrey’s shoulder, warm and real and solid. Qifrey returned the gesture, his eye sliding shut. He let out a breath. They remained that way for a long while, leaning against each other. This could not ease Qifrey—he’d managed a delicate balance that allowed him to indulge in these small ways while retaining his ever-present fear—but Olruggio’s weight became heavier and heavier as he relaxed into it.

Qifrey could do these things for Olruggio; he could take care of him, though it would never make up for everything that he had done.
