Apparently, his mood was clear as day on his face. Though he longed to blame it on the wine, there is no hiding his mental state from Tighnari's acute perception.
"Y'know," Tighnari started with a therapeutic twinkle in his eye, "some studies have been done recently that allude to some things being easier to write down than say out loud. It's why journals, academic or personal, are such a good method for mental analysis and treatment." Reaching over Cyno, he produced a stack of fresh napkins, complimentary to the table they had chosen. He went on, "Anything you feel like you need to tell me but can't say out loud, write it down here. I'll read it eventually, and you won't have to speak. How's that?"

Removing the pins from his mouth—an unfortunate habit he inherited from his mother, along with this tailor shop he now ran on his own—he yells towards the front (“Coming!”), hoping the customer noticed the bowl of candies to snack on while they wait. He sets the dress down upon the ironing board, smoothing down the skirt one last time, taking note of a section of the gathers that he thinks he’ll have to redo. He’s still considering the effort as he fidgets with the measuring tape in his hands, threading it out from around his neck as he walks toward the counter—
And promptly drops it on the cracked linoleum floor.
Kaveh works as a tailor, running the shop left behind by his parents. His days are pleasant enough, if a bit predictable—at least, until his ex shows up.
