    “Bullshit babe,” Ashido said. “You’ve got it bayyyd. You want that blasty bod.”

    “You wanna lick the nitroglycerine off his pecs,” Sero added salaciously.

    “Something something hard for him,” Kaminari contributed. Katsuki was going to have to murder them. Violently.

    “I don’t!” Kirishima’s voice had gone high and desperate. His friends went in for the kill.

    “You wanna screw him! You wanna HOLD HIM!” Kaminari cried while Ashido cackled. “Kirishima Eijirou wants to kiss Bakug—”

    “ALRIGHT! YES! I WANT TO KISS HIM!” Kirishima finally snapped. Katsuki’s heart stopped.

    And god dammit, Shouto loved them too. He loved his friends. He wanted to show them how much he loved them.

    How could he do that? How could he make them feel this intense love he was feeling now?

    Uraraka pulled out her phone “Lemme see, okay! The five kinds of love languages are; Physical Touch, Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Acts of Service, and Gift Giving.”

    Shouto sat up. Of course! Love Languages. He had mind reading. For 3 days. Shouto could learn everything about his friends. He could learn them inside and out. Figure out their love language and bam! He can show them how much they mean to him.

    Midoriya’s in particular... Maybe if Shouto knew the way into his heart- maybe he could see if Midoriya... If he-

    A suited man stepped over the yellow tape as if it were ordinary decoration, the kind hotels might put out for themed parties. The stride carried confidence without tipping into arrogance, the kind that made officers straighten instinctively even before noticing the badge clipped discreetly at his belt.

    Bakugo moved into his path before any of the others reacted. The man paused, not startled, simply adjusting the sleeve of his jacket as though interruptions were part of his morning routine.

    “Detective Katsuki Bakugo, I presume.”

    The greeting came smooth, delivered without any attempt at charm. The man’s height alone drew attention, although the bright red hair did most of the work. Up close, he looked sharper than he had from across the barricades, like someone who rarely arrived anywhere unprepared.

    “Who the hell are you, and why are you stepping into a sealed perimeter?”

    The newcomer let his gaze drift briefly to the tape behind him. “Eijiro Kirishima. I have been assigned to assist with this investigation.”

    — or the one where bakugo gets stuck hunting a serial killer with a new partner.
