    So... why was Rumi's second verse so different?

    Zoey and Mira decide to ask, then proceed to analyze the heck out of the stanza.

    It's not until much later that Zoey truly understands.

    The author spends too much time analyzing tenses, and surely the other two had SOME QUESTIONS about Rumi's verse in Golden.

    The first thing they noticed was that Rumi was awfully hurt, blood all over her exposed skin and rehearsal clothes.

    The second thing they noticed was that those rehearsal clothes, their leader's beloved hoodie, were almost falling apart, ripped by demon claws.

    The third thing, were the dark patterns all over Rumi's exposed arm.

    A tear on the Honmoon leads to a battle and Zoey and Mira face a truth. The question is: the person on the ground is her friend or a demon?

    or

    A battle left Rumi's patterns exposed and Mira and Zoey have to deal with an unconscious Rumi. Conversations happen.
