“Oh–oh my I see!” The caretaker seemed to understand something as she laughed again, “Could it be, dear, that today was meant to be your first day on your campus?”
That was indeed very much true…..but Mai did not make it to her first class……or her second…..she didn’t make it to any of the classes because she couldn’t make it to the campus at all.
Mai did not reply, but the distressed and embarrassed expression on her face said enough.

Miko looked up. At her now open door.
There wasn’t just the bag of food and medicines she was expecting.
It was Raiden Ei. In person. Her phone still held to her ear, her dark colored spectacles glinting against the soft porch light, her violet-colored eyes gentle as they stared at Miko….it seemed she really had come straight from her work, given she was dressed in a black turtleneck and grey slacks, with a long brown overcoat.

Aesop’s panic spiked to the roof, he found his feet frozen to the floor. But the person behind him seemed impatient, clearing their throat again as they spoke, “Student? What are you—”
Aesop whirled around, so suddenly that his head almost felt dizzy as he looked at the person in front of him, seemingly also just as taken aback by his sudden movement.
The person in front of him. Aesop’s breath stuttered. Who…..who was this? He didn’t recall seeing a student so….so beautiful ever throughout the campus.
