Summary
As the crown prince of the Korean Empire, Minho is expected to wed once he is of age to sit on the throne. With him having come out to the entire nation as soon as same-sex marriage was legalized, the Cabinet has since been up in arms about how the public would react to the first ever imperial gay wedding.
Now that Minho is turning 25, the Cabinet has taken it upon themselves to find the ideal candidate for him to marry. If it has to be a man, then it will be a man of their choosing; and they chose Chan: the prime minister’s eldest son.
Internationally acclaimed movie star and openly bisexual lgbtq+ activist, he is beloved enough by the people to appease most of their reservations. Even so, the Cabinet is adamant about gauging how much public support and investment they can manufacture for their fake relationship before making any official wedding announcements.
Minho should be ecstatic about the arrangement. For so long, he feared he would have to hide his sexuality, and now he would soon have a husband. If only his future spouse weren’t also his secret, unbearably smug and irritating ex.

And maybe their ‘hangouts’ became a little bit more frequent, and maybe they resembled, more and more, something closer to a date. And maybe it’s his imagination that Hyunjin was touchier than normal on those hangouts-that-are-totally-not-trial-dates; his hand resting on Jisung’s thigh, poking his cheek, measuring his fingers against Jisung's and 'you have such tiny hands, Ji'. And if Jisung put more effort into his appearance than normal, and if he noticed Hyunjin start wearing his glittery eyeshadows that he reserved for special occasions more often, did it really matter?
Did it really mean anything that, when they stood shoulder to shoulder in Hyunjin’s kitchen as they made dinner and Jisung recklessly breathed, cheeks flaming, “I would take you out on a date if you’d let me” during a sleepover, Hyunjin froze and looked at him with something akin to desire before it was plucked straight off his face?
