Summary
Adrian Chase, aka Vigilante, works for ARGUS. Amanda Waller aims to get Robert DuBois, aka Bloodsport, to join Task Force X. A part of her plan to persuade him is to give him special treatment, and a special mission with a monetary reward. Robert accepts Waller's assassination mission but is paired up with Adrian as his partner. Unable to have Chris, Adrian has spent years looking for Chris in other people. But Robert isn't like Chris, he's better than Chris.

Summary
The only important thing was the mission; prevent an alien invasion of Earth, and get rid of the aliens that are already here. Everything else was unimportant. Like the way his blue eyes twinkled when he grinned, or the way his hair curled wildly. Unimportant. His boyish charms, unimportant. Summary
Adrian’s never considered that normal people could feel about others the way he feels about Chris. He thought that was a personal flaw, not a human condition. With Amber in the mix and in their bed, Adrian’s able to make sense of it all.
Adrian doesn’t blink, just licks his lips, no idea if he’s playing it cool or not. He tries to give a shrug so Chris’ll give in, as much as Adrian can even shrug with Amber’s sweaty back pinning him to the mattress. What do you say? Adrian hopes Chris can read his eyes, his face, his mind. It’s not gay if we’re both fucking a chick, right?
Amber must be telepathic or maybe just impatient. “Kiss him.” She grabs Chris’ forearm, digs in her acrylic nails and half-threatens, half-laughs, “Kiss him, you pussy.”
Chris is good at nothing if not taking orders.

On the surface and if asked, Adrian is not a sexual person. But perhaps when it's framed as sensory seeking, as sensuality- he can understand the appeal. Maybe she can reach deep inside him and coax out everything that overwhelms him.
