While Seth was thinking of ways to avoid ending up on the tail end of one of Rod Brind’Amour’s "I’m not angry, just disappointed and really confused about your life choices" lectures, Mikko was apparently thinking about something else entirely.
“What if we tested it?”
Seth was genuinely not sure what the hell the guy was talking about, because either they were talking about stick tape or Coach asking Seth to really, genuinely consider billeting with the Staals again, and he was mostly certain neither of those conversations required testing.
He blinked at Mikko, hands stilling on his stick. “Tested…what?”
“Svechnikov’s enormous crush on you.”
Seth dropped his stick. It didn’t bounce far, which was a relief, but also holy fuck that was not a string of words Seth had ever expected to hear, much less from a guy who Seth had only really met that morning and in a Finnish accent to boot. It probably wasn’t a Finnish thing. KK was a lot of things, but he apparently had more tact than Mikko Rantanen did, and that was a low bar to clear.

There was a skinny kid with long blond hair curled up asleep in KK’s stall when Seth got off the ice. Or at least, he thought the kid was asleep. It wasn’t like he was snoring or anything.
“Hey,” Seth called, and the kid started to stir, making a confused grumble as he came to. “Did you get lost? Is there an adult looking for you?”
The kid lifted nervous eyes to look at Seth, and something clicked.
That was a very, very familiar face in a much too small body, familiar eyes and a familiar mole and just overall a familiar person, who was about fifteen years younger than he should be.
“Oh, fuck,” Seth swore, and the young version of KK burst into hysterical tears.

Summary
The god of spring met the god of a death in a harvested field, the sun setting and the dirt warm under their feet. It was the place where their powers met, the death of the plants the spring god so lovingly tended.
“You’re late this year,” the god of death said, raising an eyebrow. He was dressed in a thick cotton hoodie despite the warmth swirling around them and sunglasses despite the dimming light. The god of spring wore jeans torn at the knees and a loose black t-shirt with the sleeves cut off, and he had a lip ring this year. Neither of them looked particularly like what they were supposed to.
The god of spring reached out to pull Auston into a hug, a shit-eating grin on his face. His mortal form was young this time around, male and slim, with copper-bright hair. It was a stark contrast to the genderless force of power that was Persephone. “You missed me.”
“Get off me, Connor,” Auston said, but it was affectionate. Connor didn’t let go. “Connor. I am the god of death. I do not hug.”

Or, Connor is Persephone. Freddie is Hades. With the help of Auston and Mitch, they change the laws of the universe yet again.

Biography: Chicago-based pop-punk band Odd Man Rush began in 2015, basing their quick-paced and emotive sound on the influence of masters of the genre like Simple Plan and the Hartforders. Built around singer Dylan Strome’s standout voice, the band was formed with bassist Alex DeBrincat and guitarist Nick Merkley; the trio was eventually joined by drummer Alex Nylander and rounded out by guitarist Clayton Keller. After YouTube videos and a demo circulated, the band released the six-song Late Nights EP in late 2016 and soon followed with full-length You Complete Me(ss) in early 2017. A covers album--Songs That Saved Us--was released in early 2018. A year later, the band released their second LP Champions on Pure Noise Records. The album would prove to be their breakout, reaching number 17 on the Billboard Top 200 and laying the foundation for two years of hard touring. In September 2019 the band released a five-song EP to raise money for each of the band members’ favorite charities. Their third LP is expected in late 2020. -N. The majority of the suit is bright, Maple Leafs blue, a color specifically loaned to Skyline by the Toronto Maple Leafs owner himself. The suit is detailed in crisp white, an outline of the CN tower running up the left ribcage and maple leaf detailing along the right leg. This differs from previous suit designs in clarity and artistic integrity. This appears to be the first version of the suit where the user seems confident enough in their work to put significant effort into aesthetic detail. See attached photo for visual reference...
Or, Toronto has developed a super-villain problem. Luckily, it's also developed a pair of vigilante superheroes.

Brinksy meets Dylan at the airport, hat pushed back and wearing honest to god bedazzled Crocs.
“Do I even wanna ask?” is the first thing Dylan says to Brinsky in person in three months. He’s a sight for sore eyes, honestly, even if the bedazzled Crocs are an eyesore in and of themselves.
“My lab head has a bedazzler and there’s only so long you can wait for data to compile before you get curious about what you can use that thing on,” Brinksy says, cheerful as ever. He drags Dylan into a hug, pushing up onto his tiptoes to smack a kiss to Dylan’s cheek. “Hey, welcome to Chicago, man, the city that’s recently been taken over by the freezing hands of Satan himself.”
Dylan snorted. “What happened to telling me Chicago was the best city in the greater USA?”
“You’re here now, I don’t have to trick you into moving here anymore. C’mon, it’s not like you’re gonna get back on a plane to Arizona at this point.”“Technically--”
“Pft, technically. C’mon, gimme your carry-on. Ralph misses you.

The house looks like something Morgan’s grandmother would have owned, painted baby blue with white gingerbread trim, and an entirely overgrown rose garden in the front. The house has clearly been left to the elements, even if the elegant Victorian exterior bears the aging well. Morgan’s pretty sure he’s seen exterior shots of it in a period drama, anyway. It's an objectively nice house, if in need of some work.
Morgan stares at it dubiously.“Enough room for the team,” Jake says through a mouthful of dried mango. “Big yard for Maggie.”
“I haven't bought it,” Morgan tries to argue. “Choosing a house is important.”
“I have a feeling about this house,” Jake continues. “You're gonna buy this house, and you're gonna bitch about fixing it up, but you're gonna love it and live here forever. It's a captain’s house.” Jake grins. “You know I'm right.”
Goddamnit. Morgan is going to buy this house.

Unfortunately, that meant no one knew exactly when Freddie had de-aged, only that it was sometime between taking the ice for practice and when Freddie pitched his helmet and stick over the boards in rage.

The baby kept fussing, and Dylan wasn't going to just leave it--him--her--them--whatever to cry in the little basket.
He still remembered how to hold a baby from when his Erie billet family had had one, so he supported the baby's head and brought them up close to his chest. He rocked them gently, a little bouncing-swaying movement that calmed the baby into slightly less angry cries.
“Hi, baby,” he tried. “I'm Dylan. I don't know why you're here.”
The baby scrunched up their nose and let out another angry bawl.
“I don't know what you want, honey,” Dylan said. Their head turned toward his voice, and then a tiny pink mouth was slobbering on his pec, going for his nipple. “Whoa, okay, I guess you're hungry, but I hate to tell you that's not gonna work.”

At that moment, someone slammed into the passenger window, causing both of them to jump. Dylan’s grinning face peered at them through the window.“Can I come?” He asked, volume barely dampened by the glass.
“Fuck,” Ry shouted. “Go, Matty, go!”
Matty was still laughing when he pulled them out into the street, leaving Dylan behind.

Summary
There wasn’t much on the list of things in this world that Dylan Strome hated, but Mitch Marner topped that list with ease.
The list of things Dylan loved was much longer, but Mitch managed to top that one too.
It was frustrating.
It was even more frustrating to realize they had known each other for as long as either of them could remember, and they’d been linked for that entire time. Dylan was twenty years old, and had known Mitch for sixteen years, since they were four years old, and they’d been matched since they were six, and then again when they were fifteen and their second tests cleared again.
He’s been linked to the same boy for sixteen fucking years, and there was no one in the world who drove him more insane, and no one he’d prefer to have by his side more.
It just took him awhile to figure that out.
