Summary
“Y’know, it’s pretty bold of you to break into a colonel’s home,” Caleb says as he takes out a bottle of amber liquid and two glasses. “I don’t make it a habit to offer drinks to trespassers, but I suppose you deserve something for your B&E talents.”
The footsteps stop just behind Caleb. “Who says I had to break in?” Sylus asks and skims his fingers over the thick Farspace Fleet coat.
Caleb opens the bottle and fills both glasses, the glass clinking. He downs half of his before filling it back up. “At least tell me you had real business in Skyhaven this time.”
Sylus clicks his tongue. “Does it matter?”

Summary
"All her growth was the conveying of a corpse of hope."
(From 'The Rainbow', D.H. Lawrence)This is a story about coming into one's own, a meditation on the twilight of girlhood and the violence of crash-landing into womanhood. Follow Hermione as she navigates through the quagmire: Saving the world, getting top grades, falling in love, lust, and a whole lot of trouble, and comes out of it hopefully (at least) partially sane.
