Summary
Wally has spent a long time coming to terms with the fact that he and Dick would only ever be best friends. It's been hard to grow up and accept many friendships have grown more strained and tense, but he knew he'd always have Dick. It was the one friendship he never had any reason to doubt. It was enough, more than enough. It was fine.
Dick has been going through a lot. He's been trying to make sense of Jason's strange new family with Roy and Lian Harper, but his brother just kept pushing him away. He's been so isolated recently, but his best friend Wally has never been good at leaving him alone. His steady friendship with Wally was more than Dick had ever deserved.

Summary

Because that’s what Dick is— warm. Steady. Bright.
A painful kind of gorgeousness that steals the breath right out of his chest.
He’s beautiful when he fights.
He’s beautiful when he laughs.
He’s beautiful when he hurts, too, though Wally wishes he wasn't— wishes he didn’t have to see Dick fold in on himself like he doesn't deserve care.
And he’s beautiful now— right now— underneath Wally, flushed, pupils blown wide, chest rising in these tiny, shaky breaths that make Wally’s mouth go dry.
Wally takes his time worshipping Dick.
