Summary
“That’s not an answer,” said Jonathan, his eyes narrowed. “You haven’t been doing what I think you have, have you?”
“What?” asked Will, “Coursework?”
“Mating with Mike.”
Will had picked up his satchel full of art supplies that he’d left in the living room earlier that day, and at these words he dropped it with a resounding crash.
“Mating with Mike?” he repeated disbelievingly, “Are you insane?”
Will spends the day in Mike’s nest, unknowing of the implications. Everyone else spells it out for him.

(This is an ongoing process.) Featuring a domesticity speedrun, life in a university district in the early 1990s, mutual care-taking behaviors, baffling vegetables, Mike wearing a shirt with a kitten on it, and The Cure haunting the narrative.

"I know that. I just don't know if it would feel right."
"If what would feel right?"
"Being with a boy," Mike says, his gaze drifting down to his hands in his lap, feeling a bit embarrassed of what he's admitting.
"Do you want to find out?" Will asks. Mike lifts his head to look Will in his eyes.
