Summary
There was a release for everyone else in the world to look forward to, but alas, Furina could not be afforded such a privilege. She glanced out of her window, a shadow looming over her, before turning her back on it.
How much longer could she go?

Furina is sad because no one understands her. Neuvillette is no help.

Summary
They can feel it now, the absence of their soul, as palpable as the hotness lining their features, the wet along their lips, the salt burdening their sinful tongue.
The latter lolls behind their teeth, uselessly, now, pressing against the ridges of their molars, the sharp, monster-like canines near the front. The result of dysphoria, they mull quietly, feeling the clumsy carve along the incisors. It hurts, they press harder.
Noelle stands, they grasp at her wrist. She’s quick to escape that, even, in a way she is to throw herself into anything else. To throw herself into Kris.
or, Kris finds Noelle the night after giving her the thorn ring. Forgiveness is hard when the victim is willing.

"This was miserable.
If Kris were to rate this day against all the other shitty days they've had in the past, it might just crack the top five, which is saying a lot.
They've had a lot of shitty days."

Summary
**CHAPTER 5 WEIRD ROUTE SPOILERS AHEAD**
Susie was the one who found them. Kris had been holding Noelle’s chin up, out of the water, and Susie would always swear Noelle was still alive for a heartbeat after bringing the duo ashore. A heartbeat, however, is only that. Days later, an investigative team arrive at Hometown and rub salt in the wound, claiming that all signs point to Kris being the perpetrator of this murder-suicide.
Although the lie was at first met with disbelief, it gradually began to infect the thoughts of Hometown’s residents like a plague. Susie can’t bring either of her companions back, but she can at least wipe the dust from Kris’ name, can’t she?
