Summary
Details of the damage done to Mobei-jun still poke through, sometimes, in ways that Shang Qinghua never wrote. Mobei-jun will offhandedly mention a common ploy implied to be his uncle's, or reference some attack from a killed-off relative ranked even below cannon fodder, all with a bored expression. Shang Qinghua has to school his face out of a surprised and guilty wince everytime because he'd known, kinda, but he hadn't known about that.
This is all to say: Shang Qinghua is surprised and concerned when he walks into his king's chambers and sees the blurry silhouette through the changing screen of something on Mobei-jun's back.
