Summary
When Thomas returned to Downton, he didn't expect to share with Guy all that had happened here before. However, with the old memories resurfacing, he can't help but share his past with the man that has been so gentle with him. This is a collection of the moments in between what was shown in Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, because I can never have a enough Thomas Barrow. This is canon compliant and skips the scenes shown in the movie since the dialog is not readily available at this time.

And maybe it’s because Nace is scared to open up, to be seen as vulnerable and weak. He pretends he doesn’t care, that he doesn’t notice. He thinks he doesn’t deserve to be told that it will all be okay, that it will all eventually go away, that he’ll get through this. And that’s fine. If I make someone, anyone, feel better - maybe it’s worth it.
