After a night out with friends, Ada is ripped from her comfortable yet melancholy life in Frankfurt and wakes up on a mindflayer ship. She finds herself transformed into a Tiefling, and equipped with magical abilities she neither understands nor controls. Overwhelmed, confused and tadpoled, she teams up with other survivors to find a cure and, hopefully, make her way home.
Ada finds that reluctant allies can, in fact, become friends over time, that she can learn to lean on them, and that there is more than one way to be strong.
Then, there is this wizard with a mysterious condition who is eager to hear all her tales of this other world. As she starts to fall for Gale, Ada begins to confront the hurtful lies she has internalised about herself and finds a way to let herself be loved.This is an isekai Galemance long-fic that covers one day of the journey in each chapter. For the most part, it follows the events of the game, with some changes made for either convenience or to heighten the yearning. This story covers themes such as religious trauma, fatphobia, queerphobia, bigotry and mental illness. There will be a somewhat happy ending, even if it is bittersweet. I currently publish about a chapter a month.

Hawke makes it out of the fade but she and Varric have a fight of epic proportions that leaves them on shaky ground after the months he spent greiving her presumed death. Hawke has to figure out if she can do more than throw herself into danger, and Varric realizes he's been lying to himself for a long time.
**This is the first time I've written anything over 5k words and it was a serious challenge. It's not perfect, but I had a lot of fun! It's self indulgent, and not too deep, so don't let the "grief" tag throw you off too much. There's definitley a happy ending here.
