Gimli laughs at him as he tugs on his boots, looking so rumpled and beautiful as he does. He is picking at a knot in the laces, seated upon the storage chest at the foot of the bed that holds so many of his memories.
“Leave it to an elf –– most dwarves feel this way about the first snow of the season, you know.” Gimli says around a yawn.

Summary
Over two centuries, Astarion had been stripped of the freedom to willingly explore a new experience. Everything with Halsin up until this point had been a rewrite of countless memories. But of all things things he had done, been made to do, he had never before laid with someone’s Wild Shape.
His chest flared with an ache so strong, Astarion half-wondered if his heart had learned to beat again.Bookmarked by luxio56

…I find the world oddly quiet without the bickering of Lae’zel and Shadowheart. I often think I see Karlach or Wyll dancing at the edges of my vision but my eyes never find them. Every time someone asks a question I find myself pausing, expecting Gale to answer. And I still look up, searching for your eyes…Bookmarked by luxio56

Summary
also known as I Bet You'll Fit in My Pack
Astarion returns from a hunting trip with the gang, injured worse than he expected to be, but there is Halsin at his side making it all better. As usual. Nothing unexpected -- it'd been this way for weeks, not that Astarion realized. But most everyone was starting to notice.
Astarion didn't need the druid to heal him, of course. It was just coincidence that Astarion's injuries -- even the ones that were worse off than he acknowledged -- didn't seem to really start hurting until he was back at camp, never mentioned them until under Halsin's careful healing hands. But he didn't need it, not at all. It wasn't a big deal. Just happenstance!
So why was everyone so eager to bring it up?
