It’s Felix’s turn to be incredulous. What kind of stupid prank is Chris trying to play? “Chris,” he says, voice low but serious so no one can hear. “This isn’t funny. Your brothers will be here any minute and—”
“Oh,” Chris says without his mouth moving, the sound coming from behind Felix instead of in front of him like it should. “This must be Felix.”
Felix whips around.
Chris is standing there, smiling at him, big and warm and comforting, but somehow this smile feels off too.
Well, more off than the fact that Chris is standing behind him and in front of him.
“What the fuck.”
“I think Chris left off a very important detail,” Chris-behind-him says, sounding amused.
