Summary
Jo Asakura is a frequent visitor at the 9-1-1 dispatch center. For his job, of course. It’s not at all because he’s had a huge crush on a captivating dispatcher since they met in university. The only problem? Said dispatcher doesn’t remember him or the time they shared.
Can Jo get his feelings across now that he has a clean slate? Or will history repeat itself?

Summary
Yuma is eating a popsicle.
This is a normal, human thing to be doing. Eating is normal, popsicles are normal, Yuma is normal— well… That one’s debatable.
Jo is watching Yuma eat a popsicle. That's normal, too. Looking at friends is normal. Looking at friends eating things is normal.
An obscene noise leaves Yuma's mouth a moment later, eyes meeting Jo's for a split second as he swallows.
None of this is normal.

Summary
This thing inside Jo—it’s not the innocent kind of affection people joke about. It’s not innocent at all. It’s feral. It’s patient. It wants to crawl into Yuma’s ribs and live there.
But what is he supposed to say? That he feels sick with it? That Yuma’s smile sometimes makes him want to cry? That he’s built an entire religion out of restraint and it’s still not enough?

Summary
Jo can’t ignore the heat pooling in his stomach much longer.
It hasn’t hit full force- yet- but he knows it’s coming any minute now.
He knows it’s his own fault for not telling anyone, not warning them not to pick him this month just in case, but he’d only noticed last night himself, far too busy caught up in all the practicing and preparing for the comeback.
His rut was coming.
Not in a week, or a month, now- in the middle of the woods, with eight men hunting for him.
-
Jo gets his rut during the hunt. He's 'it'.

Summary
As soon as Jo joined the team, Yuma stopped competing with the team from the other school. Now he was competing with Jo. The thing was, Jo didn’t seem to care. He liked playing, liked his team, liked Yuma, liked everything. He didn’t even know how Yuma felt.
