Summary
The setting can change, but that was about it.
Ash didn't trust people, and more than anything, she didn't trust men. Men had been the root of her anguish since the world turned to hell, and men had left burn and incision scars on a large portion of her body. Men had branded her like cattle.
When Negan brought her back to the Sanctuary, Ash thought her solitary life was about to go to hell in a hand basket. She thought she'd be back with Z, one of the most devious men she'd ever met - the kind that didn't disguise his version of a "new world order" and what it meant for women.
When Ash is attacked on a run with Negan and his Saviors, her carefully constructed walls are shattered, and she can't shake the anxiety that's taken hold in her chest and won't let go. Negan, though, has questions, and he won't let them go.
