Summary
Deidara was eating a protein bar on the go, which is how he had to eat most of his meals to satiate Sasori’s complete lack of patience. Then Sasori suddenly whipped around, grabbed Deidara’s face, and stuck one of Hiruko’s creepy old man fingers in his mouth.
“Hrng?” Deidara managed to say. This was… this was pretty weird. Not exactly violent, because Sasori wasn’t hurting him, but weird. Really weird.
“You’re chewing on one side,” Sasori accused like Deidara had committed some heinous crime instead of just innocently eating his lunch.
(Technically an exploration of Deidara’s relationship with both Sasori and Tobi, but also technically a crackfic about teeth.)

Summary
Obito watches from the window as Kakashi leans over the crib, his finger enclosed in a small, chubby fist. The boy is awake, his feet kicking randomly, his eyes watching the ANBU.
Kakashi makes his rounds here. He’s the only protection the orphanage has, really. But this isn’t part of his route.
Tonight, Kakashi has scrolls in the pouches of his standard-issue flak jacket. The greys of his ANBU uniform are gone, his hitai-ate slanted over his left eye, the ANBU mask nowhere in sight. Hung over his shoulders is a large backpack, the tantō sheath hanging instead from his belt.
Kakashi lifts the small, squirming bundle into his arms and body-flickers out of the orphanage.
Oh, this’ll be good.
OR:
Not all is lost after the failure of the fox attack, because the kyūbi's new host is an easy target. The problem is that, apparently, Kakashi is willing to abandon his village for a chance at parenthood.
If only he showed that dedication toward Rin.

Summary
Until his father's ship returns, Kakashi is responsible for himself. This isn't the first time he's been left alone but it is the longest, and as the days stretch on, the sea god's fury is not the only storm he's weathering.
A distraction comes in the form of a lucky catch, the biggest bite he's ever gotten on the end of his fishing rode. But when he reels it in, he sees hands and lips, arms no different from his own, and a face that is almost human.
A siren, they say, is a devourer of man.
