When he mentions needing a sign that he needed to go for it, he didn’t mean Sanford standing in front of him and asking for help looking at engagement rings. Ten seconds into the conversation he’s already done when the lawyer starts his spiel with “you’ve been married before, right? So you probably have more experience in this than I do.”
Tim attempts to remain cordial. “It’s been a good fifteen years since I proposed. You’re really thinking about proposing to her?” He asks, leaning back in his chair to feign curiosity. In actuality, he was attempting to plan the quickest way to get rid of him as soon as possible. “Why come to me?” He adds on.

“Please don’t stop,” she breathed, her voice sounding way more uneven than she was expecting.
Tim froze again and continued to stare at her as she offered him the only explanation she had.
“I need this too.” And god did she.
