Tim realized Gotham didn't need a Robin somewhere between the electrocution and the water boarding.
It needed something that would be able to compete with all the worst crazies, and still come out on top. Someone even more insane than Joker and less morally bound than Batman. A protector willing to get as ugly as Gotham herself was ugly.
Too bad Bruce didn't agree.
Or Damian.
Or Steph, or Cass, or any of his old so-called friends.
He'd show them then.
They could ban him from the masks and capes but he'd prove exactly why Gotham needed a Red Hood.

As the phone continued to ring Selina Kyle walked past at the bottom of the stairs. And Konner felt all the attraction usually reserved for attractive men, rush through him as she smiled and waved.
The dust had turned him straight! In JUNE!!
The call connected, Kon speaking before Clark had a chance, “The pink dust is homophobic!”

The moment the object hit the ground, it erupted –a blinding detonation of pure white light that swallowed the entire rooftop. No sound. No heat. Just light. So bright it seared through his closed eyelids, through his hands thrown up to shield his face, through every attempt his body made to protect itself.
Damian stumbled backward, disoriented, his vision bleached into nothing. He blinked rapidly, but the world refused to come back into focus. For a terrifying few seconds, he was completely blind.
When his vision finally returned - patchy and blurred at the edges - the rooftop was empty.
