Summary
Seemingly out of nowhere and with no warning, Pyro returns to Tegrith, set on picking his life right back up where he left it eight years ago. Scott has no idea what to think about the man who used to be his best friend, who abandoned them all once, but is now promising that he's here to stay.
Especially with how he's saying that he's back for Scott specifically.
Both of them have changed in their time apart, but Scott swears that there's something different about Pyro. Has he just matured? Did he go though something awful while away from home? Or is it something more?
On top of Scott's whirlwind of conflicted emotions, Tegrith is threatened by a strange corrupting force like no one has ever seen before. Except maybe Pyro...

Summary
Eating resin wasn't a bad choice, but it certainly wasn't a comfortable one. The effects of his sickness are completely gone, and Nom feels stronger than ever.
Scott, however, sees the side effects. He gets more than a little concerned, and drags Nom into the well and forces him to relax for once.
It's the first time in years that Nom has taken off his armor for any reason other than to clean it, and he starts to realize just how often Scott touches him. Little touches. Fleeting. Ephemeral.
He starts to get a little more comfortable with affection.

Summary

Pyro would've never expected Scott to be here, as set in his ways as he was. With a frosty reintroduction behind them, they get into a massive argument; an argument that reveals new abilities, and revives old feelings thought long dead.

Summary
Nom feels more and more like his death is imminent. Maybe he's felt that way all of his life, but he's thinking about it more now. With it, the weight of his regrets and lost opportunities are piling up heavily.
Him never having had sex isn't the top of his list or anything, but it's certainly on there.
Scott doesn't know how to help Nom with most of his problems, but he's in the same boat with the never having had sex thing, so they might as well help each other out with that. Lots of feelings are involved.

Summary
When Scott says that the cold doesn't bother him, he does mean it. He's used to the cold, and he far prefers it to the heat. Working under the sun, sweating, uncomfortable hotness; he'll take the cold any day.
It's just that the ice magic that has awakened within him is extremely cold. All of the time. No matter what he does.
It seems like Pyro has the opposite issue. Perhaps they can solve each other's problems.

Closer like this, Scott can… appreciate the details of Pyro's looks. Shaggy brown hair falls across his shoulders, much unlike the usual, when they put it in a small ponytail. A mole sits at the corner of his mouth, and piercing, ironically ice-cold eyes like the mountain sky stare out into space.
He looks absurdly pretty. Scott wants to kiss him.
Scott is almost knocked out of breath by the thought. It's insane, and terrible, and exciting. Fuck.

Scott glanced up too, and when Nom looked back down, despite the dimmer lights around them, the bright red flush on Scott’s face wasn’t hard to miss. His heart skipped a beat that he tried to ignore. “Um, Nom? That’s… mistletoe…”
It took a second for the words to register, Scott’s voice was quiet in the atmosphere of the party. But he was so close that Nom heard it just as easily as if it were only the two of them in the room.
