"I hope you live a long and happy life, Sire," Gwaine says, with a pitiful attempt at his usual tavern drawl that does nothing to hide his solemnity, his sincerity. Arthur's eyes betray nothing as he takes his seat at the head of his dining table and gestures for Gwaine to join him at his right side. Gwaine settles, and sighs, and says after another swallow of too-sweet wine, "And I hope that his and mine lasts just a little longer."
Gwaine is the villain in this part of the story. He accepted that a long time ago.

No, the only thing that had counted was his ability to throw himself in the line of fire—the apparently endless line of fury and fists that can’t resist his face—over and over and over again.
He doesn’t mind being hurt or whatever, because, if his mistakes have taught him anything over the years, it’s that love is tolerance, and the most effective way he can prove he loves people is by just tolerating everything about them.

“What are you talking about?” Grace's fingers played quick chords as he spoke. He didn’t even look as he did it, but it did not make them any less purposeful.
“Discussing possible reasons why Tau Ceti is not infected while other stars are,” Eva replied deftly. “I would invite you to join, but we were just finishing—”
“Oh, that’s easy.” His hand twisted a knob, and the notes came out sharper. “It is infected—Petrova Line and everything.”
In Grace's opinion, dreaming about time traveling is no excuse for getting out of practice with his Eridian. To the rest of the Petrova Taskforce, it seems a bit odd that their resident Astrophage expert has suddenly taken to carrying a keyboard around and playing it whenever he speaks. Eva Stratt resolves to figure out what is going on.

Grace twitched violently, fell sideways off the viewing platform, and banged his elbow hard into DGCR screen six.
Rocky and Grace watch a movie and talk about their friendship. Also they love each other to the ends of the infinite, expanding universe.
