Summary
Over two years after being released from prison, Style’s insistent words about not rushing to the altar are echoing through Fadel’s brain. He's tired of feeling like he's failing Jay, who sends him curious and expectant glances when Style isn't looking. Fadel also feels confused whenever Style buys him expensive presents or talks about buying a house together, but still puts off the marriage conversation. It's one Fadel accepted putting off before. It used to feel like a daunting thing to talk about, despite genuinely wanting that future with Style one day. Now, Fadel tries to find ways of bringing it up nervously and hopefully, only for Style to successfully redirect the conversation.
When he has a drunken bonding night with his brother to talk (and maybe cry) about it, Bison just says, “Don't worry. Marriage isn't everything.”
He needs to find a way to have a productive conversation about it with Style. If he can find a way to do that and know where Style truly stands, then maybe - just maybe - he will be able to ask the love of his life the question that has been gradually traveling to the front of his mind for years.
Or…
Fadel wants to get engaged. Style has other plans.
