One stuttered gunshot rang through the quiet street. A pained gasp. Someone cursed.
Something pricked his neck.
Another gunshot. Hoseok fell to the ground, unmoving.

“Why did you do that?” Sizhui whispered, his hands still glowing as it transferred as much spiritual energy as he can muster to slow down the spread of the poison, his eyes never left Wei Wuxian’s face. “Xian-Gege, why did you do that? I could’ve handled it, I would’ve been fine,”
The smile on Wei Wuxian’s face is so gentle, so comforting as he answered in a whisper. “A-Yuan, you foolish child, how could I let you suffer?” He shakily lift his hand and gently cupped Sizhui’s cheek, his eyes drooping. Sizhui held the hand to his cheek as if it’s the most precious thing he ever held “A-Yuan, how could I not?”
