Summary
Two and a half hours is plenty of time to seduce Casey and make her forget all about Truman, right? Make her realize that she is so much more than a six and a half, that she's fucking perfect, that half the time Derek can't think of anything other than her and the way her eyes get all sparkly when she wins something. Maybe she'd realize he's in love with her, realize she's in love with him, but Derek's not hedging any bets on it.
Look, he's about ninety percent certain that Casey has a thing for him, at least physically. Which, duh. Even rotting corpses are attracted to Derek, it's just a fact. He's got the attractiveness of a god. But emotions are harder to figure out. They're friends, sort of. They're kind of enemies. It's complicated. She seems to like him, though(or: Truman French's arrival spurs Derek into emotional waters he didn't expect to find himself in and sex into happening. He's not entirely aware of how they went from point a to point b, but he's already in Casey's bedroom, so he's not complaining. Rewrite of 4.05, "6 ½.")
