Summary
“Don’t let the blood get into your ship, okay?”
That made Grace pause. “What?!”
“If I die, you have to get my body out of here,” the man pleaded, but Grace had to go. His oxygen was out. The guy would be dead in six minutes. “You have to get me out, even if I’m dead. Hey!”
“Just hold on!” Grace propelled himself through zero gravity, away from the radio.
“Don’t leave me here-!” The roar echoed through the ship halls.
---
When Ryland Grace complained about being a little bored, maybe a little lonely, he thought a nostalgic trip around Erid would fix him right up. The last thing he expected was to find deadly space bacteria in deep space and a human. Alive.

"...Or is it the kind of relationship you can't disclose?"
Jingran's next words end with a grazing brush of his lips against the shell of Rover’s ear. The cartilage is irresistibly soft. It wouldn't take much to tear, he thinks; a clamp of his jaw and a sideward twist of his head, and Rover would bleed for him.
"You can tell me, you know. I’ll keep your secret for you.”

Summary
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Olruggio asked. “You know what will happen.”
“I’m sure,” Qifrey replied without opening his eye, though his own hand did rise to clasp Olruggio’s wrist, thumb pressing gentle circles into the skin there. “I promise.”
Olruggio is a vampire. Qifrey wants to help him.

Summary
Olruggio wrapped his arms around Qifrey’s waist and pulled him close. He rested his chin on Qifrey’s shoulder, warm and real and solid. Qifrey returned the gesture, his eye sliding shut. He let out a breath. They remained that way for a long while, leaning against each other. This could not ease Qifrey—he’d managed a delicate balance that allowed him to indulge in these small ways while retaining his ever-present fear—but Olruggio’s weight became heavier and heavier as he relaxed into it.
Qifrey could do these things for Olruggio; he could take care of him, though it would never make up for everything that he had done.
