Summary
"Jin Rulan! Whatever is the meaning of this?"
Wei Wuxian woke up on a cold stone floor with chains wrapped around his wrists and throat. Beside him were Lan Zhan and A-Yuan, bound similarly by chains attached to the wall. Lan Zhan, famous for his face still as jade, was finally showing some emotion, eyes wide and furious, mouth in a trembling line. A-Yuan was weeping uncontrollably, trying to keep his sniffling quiet.
Jin Ling was standing over them, with a smile so reminiscent of his Xiao-shushu that it felt like it was Jin Guangyao with them instead of his grumpy little nephew.

Harsh morning sunlight, usually uncharacteristic of London, filtered through the curtains and landed on his face.
He drowsily raised a hand in a futile attempt to block it, before relenting and rising from his bed with a wide yawn. He stumbled to his feet and stretched his arms, tired eyes taking in his room.

Lance can live with it, the situation he's found himself in with Shiro. He can push past the detachment, the discomfort, and focus on the pleasure. If nothing else, he's helping their team leader blow off steam.
He has a harder time accepting the same thing happening to Keith.

Taken from a prompt I found on tumblr, which said
"What if Lance, shiro and Keith were out shopping one day and there was a a natural disaster which lead to the mall they were in coming down, and lance and Keith were trapped under a large piece of metal, shiro had to pick which one he saved, unaware that lance was very much conscious while Shiro picked Keith. While the metal was pressed down further on him Shiro and Keith rushed to the hospital to get Keith checked out, unaware that lance was still alive."I took it and ran with it!

Summary
Shiro has come back from war crippled- his arm is gone, PTSD rules his life, and he barely remembers how to smile. His wife, unable to handle the state Shiro came home in, has left him with their son Keith.
Thus enters Lance, the new nanny. His job, technically, is to take care of Keith at all times. But seeing Shiro, how sad he is, how broken, prompts Lance to personally take over Shiro's life, trying hard to help him pick up the pieces of his life.
