Summary
Life in the death games was pretty difficult. Anybody trapped inside them would say that. Even more of them would say that life got infinitely harder when someone was on their Red life. Things were even more complicated with the rules of this particular life game. In Last Life, Reds were supposed to be kicked out of whatever alliance they were part of.
Bdubs didn’t blame them for splitting the base in half. He’d rather that than they kick him out altogether.
However, he did blame them for leaving him without a freaking bed!

Summary
It's a tradition to burn down a Woodland Mansion at every start of a season. Only this time it's not only inhabited by mindless mobs. There is actually an uncorrupted Player Allay there.
Scar and Cub don't really know how to feel about Grian when they help to rescue him. If they'd come just a few weeks later Grian would have become a Vex. And the reminder of what they lost confronts them with feelings they would have liked to forget.
Grian, on the other hand, really just wants to enjoy his newfound freedom and do what Allays are supposed to do - gathering things and causing mischief. Which is hard to do when you’ve been dropped into a foreign world and have no clue where your former crew has ended up. Not to mention the two very intriguing Vex, who give off very mixed signals. Not that Grian is any better at communication.

Scar pulled up his chat history with Grian one final time. Each of his messages were still lacking replies. Each still completely unread.
"No." Scar said sternly. "I'm coming with you."
Pearl seemed surprised by his reply, but she made no objection.
"Xisuma?" Scar said, holding the comm up to his ear once again.
"Scar, what is going on? Why are you and Pearl still there?"
Scar didn't answer his question, he only kept talking. "Cub owes me a favor. Tell him to take care of Jellie while I'm gone."
Before X could say anything back, Scar had hung up. He looked back up at Pearl, a strong feeling of determination settling in his bones.
"I'm not jumping to Season 10 yet. Not unless it's with Grian."
Pearl nodded, understanding him perfectly. "Then let’s go find him."

Or, Scar wakes up the morning after Secret Life ends to find that Grian is missing. On top of that, despite being the winner, his memories of all the past games haven’t returned to him. Him and the other previous winners of the traffic games suspect something is up, so they all hatch a plan to get Grian back and end the cycle of death games once and for all.

Summary
The thing was, Grian died.
Which meant he was back at the Watchers. Hermitcraft was merely an interlude. That was what they promised him. However, Grian couldn’t accept such an untimely end, so he pleaded for another go, no matter the consequences. Strangely, the Watchers allow it, as long as he follow one caveat.
Or: Grian has to reveal the worst parts of himself. It doesn’t go well.

There’s a deer; Grian sees its tan coat and golden scruff on the scalp, and it’s big, dark eyes, and beside the deer is something else. The blood starts to soak into the edges of his shoes, but he can’t move away, can’t breathe, can only point the rifle and rest his finger on the trigger. Still, his hands don’t shake.
Beside the deer, digging his way through the stomach and spilling intestines and meat and blood everywhere, is Scar.
OR
The one where Grian is a closeted trans man in NorCal in 2011, Scar is a hungry menace, and one of these things is a much bigger problem than the other.
