"Crap!" the food truck worker shrieks in alarm. "Don't hurt him, Superman, he's just a kid!"
Clark . . . pauses, then looks up from the kid that he is currently pinning into the street as said kid struggles underneath him.
"'Hurt him'?" he asks in reflexive confusion, and then realizes how batting a teenager around like a person-shaped cat toy and pinning him to the street hard enough to crack it probably actually looks to an outside observer.
. . . um.
Whoops.
"Um," he starts awkwardly, and then the kid slips his pin while he's distracted and throws his arms around his neck with a gleeful laugh and a bright grin.
"Dad!" he crows triumphantly, and hugs Clark harder than literally anyone has ever hugged him before.

Adrien has mastered the art of the smile. Even while his mind is on poor behavior, when he's caught beneath a barrage of unkind thoughts to himself, he's still able to keep his smile. Attend his friends' parties, maintain small talk, get through the day — and hopefully his friends won't realize how messed up he really is.
Everyone is out-pacing him. While he's barely getting out of bed in the morning, his friends are making waves, changing lives, getting engaged.
He can't even get his girlfriend to text him back.
So, sure. Maybe he's not in the best head space right now — but 'suicidal'? Ladybug's certainly just reading too deeply into things. But if her concern for Chat Noir's mental state is enough to get her reaching out, well, he won't turn down the opportunity to chat with a friend. Besides, Ladybug seems to be having a rough go of it, too. Maybe they can help each other out.

Originally for the 2017 MacDennis Big Bang, but alas.
They don’t have a falling out so much as a slowly drifting apart. Being a dad makes Dennis tired, so tired sometimes he feels like he might never have energy again, and that means that he stops checking in with Mac as often. Eventually, they stop talking. Mac gets a boyfriend. Dennis stops taking his medication.
After Dennis attempts suicide, Mandy insists he return to Philadelphia with the gang, and she will follow with Brian Jr. when she can. Faced with an unwanted recovery, a failed family, and feelings he would rather ignore, Dennis is forced to navigate uncharted waters within himself and within his relationship with Mac.

Yang has a bit of a reputation for sometimes pushing a little further than she probably should, and Weiss would be wincing if it didn’t seem as if Blake was enjoying this. There’s no real annoyance in her tone, gait light and clear as she argues back and forth, now going for a shove of her own. Actually, she looks—well. Happy to be arguing in the first place.
They’re partners—of course they’re bound to be close—but this suddenly seems different in some way. Weiss thinks, huh.
Yang dodges the counterattack and adds, “Plus, you’d miss me if I stopped.”
She might have won after all. Blake doesn’t seem to have a reply, and they continue on in silence. Weiss catches the barest glimpse of Yang’s smug smile as she turns her head, warm and far too pleased with herself to be healthy. Blake never denies it, and as they continue on, Yang’s smile only grows wider.
Huh, indeed.
