“Hello, Edmundo,” she said sweetly, smiling at him. “It’s very nice to see you again.”
“Yeah…yeah, you too,” Eddie blinked quickly and met Buck’s confused gaze. “Oh, Ana, this is my boy-” he paused for just a moment, swallowing quickly. “My boyfriend, Buck.”
“Boyfriend?” Ana’s eyebrows shot up in surprise, and Buck bit his lip. He’d never seen a picture of her, but he could only assume this was ex-girlfriend Ana. “I didn’t realize you were…into men.”
“I didn’t know,” Eddie flushed red. “When we were…together. It’s a fairly new realization.” Ana put her hand on Eddie’s forearm, and Buck fought the urge to shove the fork resting near his elbow through it, if only because then he would be stabbing Eddie too. Buck forced a smile when Ana finally turned to him.

Buck knows Eddie has to go to Texas for Christopher. He knows that, and he would never ask Eddie to choose him instead.
