Hands went to weapons again. But Rey grasped his hand, holding it up for all to see.
“He’s with me,” she said, her voice calm, steady, unshakable. “He came back.”
Ben offered a small, weary nod.
The crowd parted. Chewbacca strode forward, towering and growling low in his chest. Ben braced—but Chewie pulled him into a crushing embrace. The Wookie trembled with emotion.
For the first time in years, Ben Solo felt like he had come home.
