The first time Talon had heard about ruts he'd been aboard a Piltoverian merchant vessel, posing as a guard, even though everyone knew he wasn’t. He lingered nearby while they talked, the boat creaking along the tall waves.
(Talon survives Sett's rut, but he doesn't escape unscathed, or unchanged. And now he can't look at Sett the same.)
