Hawks was prepared to go through with it, to risk his life if it meant that other people might be saved in the process. Was not prepared to find out that Dabi and Tomura Shigaraki are dating. Was absolutely not prepared for the HPSC to reclassify his assignment as a honeytrap in the hopes that getting between the two would break up the League. Doesn't think anyone was prepared for what happens instead.
